Even though the daffodils are long gone and you’ve done most of your planting, there is still plenty to do in your garden in summer, so get those green fingers working. The insects will be rampant so summer gardening requires a certain amount of pest control and it’s not too late to plant certain flowers and bulbs such as dahlias sunflowers and nasturtiums. With the growing concern for climate change you can also take measures to make your garden ‘greener’, both literally and figuratively. Jan joins us with a wealth of experience having first worked at the legendary John Noel Management Agency where she developed stars like Dermot O’Leary and Kate Thornton, amongst others.  Following that she was head hunted to start Princess Talent Management, which she built up over eight years into a very successful agency representing stars like Vernon Kay.

Tom Kime was over from Sydney recently for the London Book Fair where he was demonstrating delicious recipes from his award winning books. He will also be appearing on Ready Steady Cook in Australia this summer and has just agreed a new book deal with Kyle Cathie.

Alys Fowler recently appeared in Harper’s Bazaar magazine and has also agreed a new book deal with Kyle Cathie. She’ll be appearing at the Gardener’s World Live Show this summer (10^th – 14^th June) and has continued writing a blog on the Gardener’s World website. And keep an ear out for her on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.
